Last week I was able to visit one of my students Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) projects. The student I visited is very involved in FFA and ag. She is also the vice president of the chapter. Her SAE was at a horse breeding facility. If you know me you know I LOVE horses.

This student has been doing this SAE for around a year now and while she has been there she has been expanding her knowledge. Now, she knows how to give injections! Before going to visit her at the barn I wrote some questions that I wanted to ask her and read some of her record entries on AET. She crushed these questions. She was able to speak so clearly about her job. While I was there I evaluated her project on her ability to answer questions and describe her SAE. Because she was able to answer these questions so well and showed her desire to continue to learn and improve in her job. When it comes to grading students SAE program we usually grade based on records being kept. This visit was great and I am excited to see what other students SAE projects look like.

That is all for this weeks story with Ms. Sweeten! See you next time!

Anna, Thank you for sharing. I am curious, how does this SAE Align with the students future career goals?
